CT Technologists are entrusted to use their education in the art of cross sectional imaging of the human body, with the intent of providing excellent diagnostic images for the treatment of injury and disease.

Required Qualifications :
Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology ProgramARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) RegisteredNM State Certification for Radiologic TechnologyBLS CertificationPhysical demands : lifting a minimum of 50 poundsDuties and Responsibilities :
Performs CT procedures at a professional and technical level not requiring constant supervision utilizing industry standardsAscertains that DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the CT departmentProvide knowledgeable understanding of patient prioritizing. i.e., E.D., in-patient, out-patientUnderstand the transfer and viewing of images through the P.A.C.S. systemUnderstand the ordering system through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System)Thorough comprehension of CT Call and the use of the after-hours remote radiology reading servicesCoordinate exams and procedure with radiologist or related physicians as neededMaintain, clean, and re-stock CT procedure room when neededTransportation of patients as neededAssumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needsAttends meetings, workshops and conventions to increase clinical skillsAdheres to radiology dress codeMaintains confidentiality of all Hospital matters (i.e. HIPAA )Practices good communication skillsUnderstand process of correct procedure and contrast ordering through Cerner RadNetConducts self in a professional manner consistent with the values of San Juan Regional Medical CenterEach employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC’s Service Standards into their daily work :Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship
