Purple Unicorn, on behalf of SalesPatriot, is hiring a Technical Account Manager.

*** This role requires heavy travel and it is preferred that you live at the headquarters, which is located in San Francisco. You must be authorized to work in the US ***

About Sales Patriot:

America's defense industrial base runs on infrastructure built in the 1980s. Distributors and manufacturers managing our supply chain still manually stitch together email threads, supplier quotes, PDFs, government solicitations, and archaic ERP exports to manage billions of dollars passing through our supply chain in component level assemblies.

SalesPatriot changes that.

We're building the AI-native command center for U.S. defense logistics, eliminating the manual bottlenecks slowing down critical national security workflows. From F-35 bearings to Blackhawk rotor hubs, we're helping distributors and manufactures quote faster, win more, and deliver the parts that keep NATO safe.

What you'll do:

As a Technical Account Manager at SalesPatriot, you will work alongside the founders, Forward Deployed Engineers, and the platform team to deliver immense value to our customers and position SalesPatriot as a category-defining solution in the supply chain.

Coast-to-coast red-eyes, collaborating across three timezones, and running last-minute scripts in the middle of a distribution facility - no two days will be the same, but some things you can expect include:

  • Go onsite and speak with customer's leadership to understand their problems, goals, and priorities
  • Scope out the workflow that is an accurate representation of the supply chain team's daily actions (Miro will be your best friend!)
  • Collaborate closely with a Forward Deployed Engineer on implementing workflows, ingesting datasets, orchestrating dataflows, and setting up ERP integrations
  • Lead training and live feedback sessions with the end-users
  • Communicate and prioritize the emerging needs for cross-platform features to the platform team.
  • Trial by fire: onboard new members of the team by bringing them along on on site. Push them via late nights and tight deadlines.

What is success in this role?

  • Once a sale is made, the most important thing is to get the customer up and running as soon as possible
  • Your performance will be measured by how quickly and efficiently you can successfully deploy with a customer, and how happy they will be in the first weeks of using the product
  • Your ability to clearly communicate the development requirements and timeline across:
    • the platform team
    • customers departments (IT leadership and end users)
    • And your FDE's

will directly impact your success.

What you should bring to the table:

  • Experience in shipping projects, managing teams, and coordinating cross-disciplinary efforts
  • Ability to face the customer (ex-founders and solutions engineers are all welcome!)
  • Technical background - scripting (Python, SQL), ability to think abstractly about the data, experience with advanced Excel
  • Low ego, curiosity, and intellectual honesty - let's face it: you'll juggle between interactions with users who struggle with technology, introverted coding geniuses and client's management who want to see results. The only way this works is if you focus on outcomes, not credit.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary $100K – $150K
