Overview Under the general supervision of department management and the direct supervision of Physical Therapists, will provide treatment to include therapeutic modalities and therapeutic interventions. Will also assist in : medical records, upkeep of department environment, safety and equipment, and provides any support needed for improved department functioning. Promotes advisory service to other interdisciplinary team member to promote quality patient care. Functions under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director. Position Overview As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care. You’ll play a key role in supporting patients through their recovery journey, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals with personalized treatment and compassionate support. Key Responsibilities Deliver physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment techniques as appropriate within the established plan of care. Ensure patient safety and comfort, addressing age-specific needs and adhering to pain management protocols. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to ensure seamless, coordinated care. Provide guidance and support to Physical Therapy Aides and assist in managing departmental workflow. Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Qualifications : Licensure : Current PTA license from the Missouri Board of Physical Therapy. Education : Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Experience : New graduates welcome; mentorship available. Certifications : Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
