Job descriptionWork in an acute care hospital setting across multiple Med / Surg and Telemetry units Units include surgical, long-term care, general medical, cardiac / COVID, neuro, and ortho / spine, all with telemetry monitoring Expected to float as needed within all Med / Surg divisions and potentially to alternate units Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4-5 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required Call / standby up to 4 times during the contract Holiday coverage required for 1-2 winter holidays Primary charting system is EpicCare Inpatient; Epic experience preferred CPAP, BiPAP, and trach care; no ventilators on units Travelers may occasionally be assigned CNA or entrance screener duties if needed RNs are expected to float between all Med / Surg units as staffing needs arise RNs verify telemetry strip readings measured remotely by dedicated techs Charge RN on each unit and a house supervisor available during most hours Orientation includes 4 hours on each main Med / Surg / Telemetry unit No specific scrub color required Holiday and every other weekend coverage required First time travelers will be considered for this assignment Active WA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience Current BLS certification required COVID vaccination required Experience with titration of insulin, heparin, nitro up to 30mcg, dobutamine up to 5mcg, dopamine up to 5mcg, and Cardizem as specified by unit protocol Must not have been employed in any capacity at a facility affiliated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity, in the past year High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
