Associate Director, Applied Research and Program Evaluation

Position Summary :

Project ECHO is a virtual, interactive learning experience connecting healthcare professionals across the country with dementia experts. Through a combination of concise, evidence-based lectures and collaborative case discussions, Project ECHO empowers local providers to deliver high quality care in their communities. Alzheimer's Association Project ECHO is composed of three interconnected components : the Alzheimer's and Dementia Care ECHO Program, the Alzheimer's Association ECHO Superhub, and the Alzheimer's and Dementia Care ECHO Global Collaborative. The Associate Director, Applied Research and Program Evaluation, plays a pivotal role in advancing the impact and integrity of these programs. This position leads efforts in Project ECHO and other applied research evaluation and continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure program fidelity, effectiveness and scalability.

This position is donor funded. This position is funded for at least three years from the hire date. However, we anticipate to receive continued funding support beyond this.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tailored evaluation plans for each component of the Alzheimer's Association Project ECHO, ensuring alignment with overall
  • Create a data collection system and data management plan.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from ECHO sessions, participant feedback, and global partners to assess program effectiveness and delivery and inform strategic decisions.
  • Create visual and narrative reports / dashboards to communicate Project ECHO's impact to a wide range of audiences, including internal teams, funders, Superhub partners, and global collaborators.
  • Support applied research activities as needed, including but not limited to designing and conducting studies related to dementia care, quality improvement, health services research and implementation, and global partner opportunities in coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and evaluation support to organizations launching or scaling ECHO programs through the Alzheimer's Association ECHO Superhub
  • Facilitate global collaborative engagement, including data collection, evaluation, and knowledge exchange among international partners participating in the Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Global Collaborative
  • Disseminate findings through publications, conference presentations, webinars, and internal learning sessions to advance dementia care globally

Qualifications

Education :

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field (e.g., health policy, health administration, health services research, public health, epidemiology).
  • Master's Degree in health-related or social science discipline (e.g., health policy, health administration, health services research, public health, epidemiology) preferred.
  • Experience :

  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5+ years of professional work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in planning, designing and implementing program evaluation, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Proficiency in designing studies using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Experience establishing and maintaining data quality processes and managing data systems for analytics and reporting
  • Advanced experience with statistical or qualitative (e.g., SPSS, SAS, MAXQDA) and ability to conduct analyses and interpret results accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and online academic search engines, virtual meeting platforms, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for reports, publications, presentations and proposals

    Full time based on 37.5-hour work week minimum

    Position Grade & Compensation : Grade 508 The Alzheimer's Association's good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $79,000 - $85, 000
