Travel PACU RN Job Details

Location : Wilson, NC 27893 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630–$1750

Facility Setting : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – 8 beds plus 1 isolation room

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Shift : 10-hour day shifts (07 : 00-18 : 00; rotating start / end times)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Call Requirements : On-call 1x / week and every 3-4 weekends

Weekend Hours : On-call rotation

Electronic Health Record : Meditech

PACU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 1 year of recent PACU RN experience required (2 years preferred)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required

ICU nursing experience preferred

Experience with Meditech EHR preferred

Ability to work both 8x5 and 4x10 shifts as needed

Strong teamwork and positive attitude required

Compliance with HR Dress Code Policy

PACU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-operative surgical patients of all ages (excluding neonates)

Monitor and assess patients recovering from general anesthesia in a clinical setting

Operate cardiac monitors, IV equipment, SCDs, nasal O2, Omni Cell, and blanket warmers

Maintain patient ratios according to ASPAN standards (1 : 1, 1 : 2, or 2 : 1)

Participate in scheduled on-call rotation

Collaborate with the surgical services and clinical support teams

Accurately document patient care in Meditech electronic health records
