We provide science-based solutions for environmental permitting, natural resource assessments, and regulatory compliance. We are currently seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist to join our Natural Resources team in Charlotte, NC.

Position Summary

This role offers a mix of fieldwork, technical reporting, and permitting coordination. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives outdoors, is detail-oriented, and values working on diverse environmental projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform delineations of wetlands and waters pursuant to US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), state, and local protocols
• Conduct threatened and endangered species surveys and habitat assessments
• Draft technical reports, regulatory memos, and jurisdictional determination packages
• Prepare and submit PCNs and state / local permit applications, including exhibit preparation using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other mapping / design / graphics software
• Collect and process GPS field data for integration into regulatory documents
• Coordinate with agencies and project teams to support permitting and compliance
