Operations Planner / Scheduler
The Operations Planner / Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient operational plans and scheduling that align materials, labor, and capacity to meet repair and service demand. This role ensures seamless coordination between production, purchasing, and planning to achieve on-time delivery, optimize inventory and resource utilization, and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly operations plans for service and repair activities.
- Coordinate material availability, labor capacity, and equipment readiness to meet production schedules and customer delivery targets.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure timely procurement and replenishment of parts and materials.
- Monitor work orders, backlog, and repair priorities; adjust schedules proactively based on changes in demand, supply constraints, or unplanned downtime.
- Track and report key performance metrics such as schedule adherence, repair turnaround time, and inventory accuracy.
- Identify and resolve material shortages, process delays, and bottlenecks to keep operations on track.
- Partner with operations leadership to improve planning accuracy, capacity utilization, and overall workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP or planning systems to support forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing production flow and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field3+ years of experience in operations planning, production scheduling, or materials coordination within a manufacturing or service environmentPreferred Requirements
Experience in Medical Device Industry a plusFamiliarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles preferred.Other Attributes
