TRC is in search of an Applications Engineer for a client located in West Atlanta. This position develops customized software programs for clients. They collaborate with software development teams on software projects, design complex software programs and applications, and incorporate client feedback into software product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Acquire application information directly from customers or customer managers and provide technical answers regarding product selection.
  • Recommend the use of appropriate auxiliary equipment such as variable frequency controls, soft start circuits, electronic control circuits, or other products that will improve the function of our product in the application.
  • Provide control technical answers and product selection assistance to Interroll inside / outside sales force.
  • Work as a supporting team member with the standard products manufacturing group working towards cost reductions and quality improvements.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of in-house product tests related to the performance and life of our products under conditions similar to actual applications.
  • Work as a team member with the new product development team.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical brochures, installation guides, or other printed material associated with the selection, application, and installation of products sold by the division.
  • Write Controls Functional Specification / Description of Operation Documents

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical (Mechatronics Option) or Computer Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of proven control experience, preferably in the materials handling industry.
  • Advanced computer proficiency skills including the Microsoft Office product suite (specifically Excel), AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and SAP.
  • Possess judgment and decision-making qualities for situations that go beyond clear, concise guidelines and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Possess the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, clients, and vendors.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations
