Job descriptionAt least one year of experience working in a pharmacy technician or comparable healthcare support role. National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA) is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within 120 days of hire. Strong communication skills with a professional and courteous phone demeanor. High attention to detail and accuracy in all data-related tasks. Comfortable using technology and able to quickly adapt to new software platforms. Basic proficiency in pharmacy-related math and dosage calculations.
Position Overview
Key Duties :
- Accurately input prescription information received via electronic systems, fax, or phone, following established internal procedures.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare providers and prescribers through various channels, including phone calls and voicemail management.
- Follow up on outstanding prescription issues or requests submitted by pharmacists, pharmacy techs, and support teams such as incident resolution staff.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with applicable legal standards and company guidelines, prioritizing safety and accuracy.
- Carry out additional responsibilities typical of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
Qualifications :
Schedule : Mon-Fri 8 : 00a-9 : 30p EST and Sat 9 : 00a-5 : 00p EST. (8 hour shift within the operational hours)
