Job Title : Low Voltage Sales Estimator

Position Overview : This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for low voltage systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

  • Experience with industry-leading platforms such as Alarm.com, Salto Systems, Lenel, DSC, and DW Security
  • A strong understanding of low-voltage design and installation practices
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope documents to determine low-voltage requirements
  • Perform material and labor takeoffs for systems including structured cabling, fire alarms, security, AV, and building automation
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities : Include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Requirements :

  • Must pass background check and have a valid driver's license.
  • Advanced customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with high level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Proficiency in standard office programs.
  • Knowledge of industry is recommended but not required.
  • Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret Construction drawing and specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in estimating low voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of Alarm.com, Salto Systems, Lenel, and DW Security platforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Degree or certification preferred in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.

    Office environment : Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping
