The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer Intern to join our Civil team for the 2026 summer. The selected candidate could support both construction and design, which will provide a well-rounded experience throughout the summer. We are looking for candidates that are eager to expand their knowledge base and grow their career. Prospective candidates are expected to be committed to client satisfaction, and adhere strictly to client-driven standards, schedules, budgets, and passionate about working with our clients and team!

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze engineering systems.
• Plan preparation that includes but is not limited to grading plans, erosion control plans, traffic control plans, pavement marking, street lighting, underground utility design, and pavement design.
• Develop plans and specifications that comply with preexisting state and municipality requirements.
• Demonstrate a wide degree of out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and design ownership.
• Perform construction observation duties on assigned projects.
• Maintain records, construction quantities, checklists, daily reports, and documentation for construction administration projects in accordance with municipality requirements.
• Coordinate on-site materials testing.
• Perform work within both office and field settings.

Additional Opportunity Details :

Target Base Compensation for this role is $26 / hr.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
