Remote Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Billing or Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving billing and accounting inquiries from both internal staff and clients. You'll collaborate with relevant departments to escalate issues when necessary and ensure that account and billing records are accurately maintained and updated. Responsibilities include addressing and resolving billing and accounting inquiries from internal teams and clients, escalating complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary, maintaining and updating billing records, account statuses, and related information, conducting research and providing timely follow-up on billing and account requests, processing internal updates to billing data and documentation, inputting new business billing details as required, and setting up billing matters in alignment with client-specific guidelines. Perform data updates including contact details, group assignments, insurance information, and billing records. Review billing guidelines to ensure accurate setup of matters, rates, and financial agreement.
Essential Skills include experience in accounts receivable, billing collections, invoicing, data entry, general accounting, and customer service. Proficiency in legal billing platforms such as Aderant and Chromeriver is required. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. At least two years of client billing or accounting experience, preferably within a legal or law firm setting. Diploma required.
This is a fully remote role with scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, 12 : 00 PM to 8 : 30 PM (EST). You'll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with one of the largest and most respected international law firms in the United States.
This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL. The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $43.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
