Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, typically valued at $5 million and above.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while coordinating with field personnel and internal teams.
  • Delegate tasks to project coordinators and engineers; our PMs focus on leadership and financial oversight rather than administrative duties.

  • Maintain a strong on-site presence across projects within an hour of downtown Columbus.

Candidate Profile :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing mechanical construction projects, ideally with exposure to projects exceeding $5 million.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to read the room and maintain team morale.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Experience with Ohio-based mechanical contractors preferred.
  • No specific educational requirements; we value practical experience and initiative.
  • What We Offer :

  • Competitive base salary : $110,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
  • Discretionary annual bonus : typically 5-10% based on company profitability.
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage : 75% company-paid with a 30-day waiting period.
  • 401(k) with 3% company match after one year of service, regardless of employee contribution.
  • PTO : flexible and not strictly tracked; full weeks off are encouraged.
  • Truck allowance and other field-related benefits.
  • Career Progression :

  • Clear path from Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to Project Executive or Director roles.
  • Opportunities to explore special projects, sales, or operational leadership based on individual aspirations.
  • Company Culture :

  • Locally led with minimal bureaucracy; decisions are made quickly and collaboratively.
  • Supportive and flexible work environment that values family and personal commitments.
  • Inclusive culture with a growing number of women in leadership roles.
  • Office and field teams include both union and non-union professionals.
  • This is a high-priority hire due to recent team changes and upcoming large-scale projects, including two new builds valued at $20 million each starting in 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in stabilizing current operations and preparing for future growth.
