NEEDED : Nurse Practitioner
LOCATION : 9300 S. Wilmot Rd., Tucson, AZ 85756
SCHEDULE : Monday – Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Shall have a current license and must be eligible for board certification in their chosen field of expertise that permits him / her to practice and to perform services in the State of Arizona for the duration of the contract.
- Must have obtained a graduate degree from an accredited University, with a degree in Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant Studies.
- A copy of post graduate training primary source verified,
- A copy of NCCPA board certification (where applicable),
- A copy of continuing education for the last 3 years shall be submitted with current CV.
JOB DUTIES : shall be responsible for, but is not limited to :
Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the inmate population.Conduct medical histories, examine patients, order and interpret laboratory tests, x-ray and other diagnostic testing.Diagnosis and treat patients in an efficient, timely, and professional manner, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications utilizing the Bureau of Prisons formulary.Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizingAttend to medical emergencies.Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy.Emergency consultation to be performed in instances where deemed necessary.Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits.Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating, and revising program plans.Assists in determining conditions, resources, and policies essential to delivery of health care services.Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.Manages the daily operation of the clinic and conducts daily sick call, which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluationsPerform new intakesProvides a wide range of emergency services, in the absence of the physician
