Senior Financial Data Analyst - TPA / Health Insurance
Location : Remote (East Coast hours preferred)
Contract Type : Long-term W2 or 1099 contract (1-3 years)
Client is seeking a highly analytical Senior Financial Data Analyst with a strong background in SQL and experience in the health insurance or TPA (Third-Party Administrator) space. This role will support long-term projects, analyzing financial and operational data to help drive strategic business decisions. Ideal candidates can hit the ground running with minimal training and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, run, and maintain complex SQL queries and reports to support business needs
- Analyze financial data, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, plan codes, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs
- Evaluate operational processes and custom client solutions to assess cost, feasibility, and efficiency
- Partner with internal teams to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights
- Work independently on long-term projects with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in financial data analysis, ideally within a TPA or health insurance companyStrong SQL skills and ability to create queries / reports independentlyFamiliarity with TPA operations, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or similar carriersSolid understanding of finance within healthcare (AR / AP, plan codes, deductibles, out-of-pocket tracking)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable with remote work and East Coast business hoursPreferred Qualifications
