Overview

Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time

Starting at $18.25–$20.00 / hr (based on experience). Shift : 2 : 30pm–10 : 30pm.

What You'll Do

  • Perform mechanical repairs on facility equipment including wheelchairs, beds, carts, pumps, fans, HVAC systems, laundry machines, and kitchen equipment
  • Handle plumbing tasks such as pipe repairs (copper, steel, PVC), drain cleaning, and assembly / disassembly of sinks, toilets, showers, and baths
  • Maintain and repair furniture, doors, windows, wallboard, locks, floor tiles, and ceiling tiles
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding; perform painting, plastering, and wallpapering as needed
  • Work with electrical systems (single and poly-phase), installing or repairing motors, starters, switches, and current-limiting devices
  • Support facility systems including paging and call light systems, boilers, and fire protection equipment

  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in general maintenance, building systems, or a related trade
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
