Job Purpose
The Clinician provides professional clinical casework, group work, and community-based services. This position collaborates with other clinical practitioners, team members, and community partners to deliver compassionate and culturally responsive care to children, youth, and families.
The Clinician is directly responsible for implementing and monitoring individualized service and treatment plans designed to support personal growth, family stability, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups.
- Collaborate with supervisors and consultants to design, evaluate, and modify treatment plans based on client progress.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies that build upon client strengths and resources.
- Support clients in identifying sustainable methods for achieving self-sufficiency and long-term success.
- Evaluate family situations to determine safety and develop action plans to strengthen family systems.
- Provide permanency-related services, including home studies for adoption or guardianship cases, as needed.
- Prepare accurate written reports and documentation; may provide testimony or updates during legal proceedings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Conduct outreach and educational activities related to available programs and services.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in program planning, budget development, and evaluation activities.Provide transportation for work-related purposes, including clients and staff, when necessary.Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and clinical standards.Support the organization's goals by collaborating with colleagues, taking initiative, and contributing to a positive team culture.Qualifications
Education : Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related fieldExperience :
Minimum of 2 years post-master's experience in casework or permanency planning.Minimum of 1 year of community or macro-level work experience.Licensure :
Current Hawaii State Professional Clinical License (LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent) required.Other Requirements :
Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.TB clearance.First Aid and CPR / AED certification preferred.Skills & Competencies
