Heavy Equipment Operator

Operators will operate one or more construction equipment such as but not limited to forklift, bobcats, bulldozers, excavators, skid steer, mini excavator, full size excavator, front-end loaders, back hoes, rubber tire backhoe, rollers, and graders to move earth.

Typical Duties :

• Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
• Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
• Performs loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.
• Precision positioning of equipment, lifting heavy machinery and components, as well as beams and lumber.
• Will work in a cab and use pilot operated joystick controls, pedals, levers and buttons to lift, move, and position loads using hoisting attachments, such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets.
• Operators will observe load hookup and determine safety of load and inspect and report on crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Must be careful and attentive at all times so they can follow directions closely as they will communicate with team members both verbally and by signal instruction.
• Operate equipment to dig trenches and holes of specified length, depth, and width and grade.
• Be able to work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.
• Understand shoring, soil classes and dewatering.
• Use equipment to remove loosened material and put in piles or transport trucks.
• Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

Physical / Special Requirements :

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience :

Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience. Must be able to pass equipment test and visual observation of operating equipment. Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and / or Client / Site specific training. Must Pass a Background. Must obtain and maintain an active status within the applicable drug testing program.
