PPEC of Palm Beach is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center which was founded to serve medically fragile children in Palm Beach County. We're looking for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) that loves kids and shares our passion. If this is you, let us know!
The EMT will transfer PPEC patients to and from the facility. The Paramedic is responsible for safely loading patients while also monitoring and responding to their healthcare and any health situations during transport.
As an EMT, you will be responsible for the following :
- Serving as an aide for scheduled transportation routes of patients assuring all necessary equipment and supplies are transported with the children
- Ensuring all forms are properly filled out and signed for receipt and hand off for all patients
- Evaluating patient's conditions and following medical procedures that may be required during transportation routes for treatment such as suctioning, vitals, trach replacement and G tube care
- Providing physical support for patients including lifting in and out of company vehicles and ensuring patient's security and safety
- Staying alert and observant towards the safety and wellbeing of children throughout the day
- Communicating with the Director of Nursing on any patient data, health, or emergency situations that occur during transport
- Maintaining solid communication with the transportation manager to ensure children are transported to the correct location and
- Providing feedback to drivers to ensure cleanliness and good working order of vehicles
- Attending internal meetings and providing reports as needed
- Working closely with the team to provide the highest level of care and safe transportation to patients
Requirements
Must Haves :
