Job Summary
SUMMARY
Serves as a qualified electrician / programmer to maintain and program instrumentation, motors, pumps, motor control centers, telemetry, SCADA systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and all other electrical equipment at pump stations and the wastewater treatment plant. This position works cooperatively with operations staff, maintenance personnel, and the SCADA technician to support the operation and maintenance of highly complex instrumentation, controls, communications, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, security, motor control, and telemetry systems for Water and Wastewater Utilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
