Job Title : Tax Preparer Location : NE Portland, OR Job Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire, Fully Onsite Salary : $55,000–$65,000 / year, Depending on ExperienceWe are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our client’s growing team in NE Portland, Oregon. This is a direct hire opportunity with a well-established firm that values accuracy, client service, and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in preparing individual and small business tax returns and a working knowledge of current federal and state tax laws. Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Conduct client consultations to gather financial data and ensure accurate filings
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure clients benefit from available deductions and credits
• Stay informed on current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Maintain organized and secure client records in compliance with firm and regulatory standards
• Assist with IRS and state correspondence or audits as needed
• Collaborate with internal staff and management to support seasonal workload and client demands Requirements :
• 2+ years of recent experience in tax preparation
• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of federal and state tax codes and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Active PTIN preferred; EA or CPA designation preferred, but not required
