Estimator | In this role you will… Research project leads to find projects that fall into the confines of DT project metric. Perform and review quantity takeoff for estimates. Maintain and coordinate a bid schedule tracking multiple project bids to a successful outcome.
- Research, track, develop, and pursue demolition contract leads that fit the DT project metric
- Quantity take offs and estimates for demolition projects
- Review of project documents to establish a complete understanding of bid requirements
- Prepare and review estimates with General Manager
- Prepare and execute all bid documents required for bid submission per the provided requirements
- Maintain the schedule for bidding projects and pre-bid meetings
- Submit DT pre-qualification statements as necessary to clients for bidding projects
- Assist with developing DT marketing material and website
- Participation in trade meetings as needed
- Submit request for bid bonds and insurance to surety company
- Search for projects to bid and determine the compatibility with DT’s current workload and capabilities
- Maintain bid tracking log of all DT bids. Enter all bidders' information as available.
- Track and review performance of projects with PM and GM to determine profitability and adjustments needing to be made in future estimates
- Prepare all-inclusive scope of work lead tickets for review with Project Managers
- Attend project meetings as necessary
- Review cost to complete estimates as needed by PM
- Review change order estimates as needed by PM
Project Manager | In this role you will…To provide direction of the company by planning and executing all projects under your direct supervision and assist with projects assigned to others as needed
- Coordinate with department leaders to achieve project issue resolution
- Create and modify budgets for all assigned projects
- Provide monthly project cost / estimated completion costs on assigned projects
- Manage project documentation necessary to fully understand the scope of the project
- Assist in hiring of Field Supervisors, Equipment Operators and Drivers. Final interview to be with DT management.
- Assist in field employee reviews
- Develop training requirements to promote and educate employees
- Reporting and tracking employee infractions of the DT company policies
- Manage safety of employees
- Coordinate with safety resources to secure proper documentation for each site
- Verify Safety meetings are done at least weekly and as needed per project
- Review and approve employee time sheets
- Assist in estimating as necessary (pre-bid attendance, provide field perspective to plan project, field measure, submit bids, etc.)
- Assist in resource assignment for your projects (i.e. men, equipment, tools & trucking)
- Ensuring vision and quality of project are maintained and that the project is meeting all requirements
- Oversee the completion of Change Orders and Time & Material orders for contracts and ensure proper approval and documentation are obtained
- Track and maintain key contract performance dates, obligations, and notices
- Generate, maintain, and update project schedules
- Review and approve invoices
- Review project financials and maintain costs
- Participation in trade meetings
- Attend project meetings as necessary
- Attend company meetings as necessary
What we look for:- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of general contracting, subcontracting, or estimating
- 5 years of demolition experience is preferred
- Asbestos Inspector License is preferred
- Proficiency in the following software program such as Microsoft Office products
- Onscreen Take Off or Blue Beam is preferred
- Interpretation of plans, specifications, instructions to bidders
- Efficient in time management, personal skills, and interactions with property owners, general contractors, other subcontractors, and field crews.
