Introduction Our client is an AAHA-accredited hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their expanding team. Founded in 2009, the hospital has built a strong reputation for excellence in both general and specialty care and is the only facility of its kind in the Ark-La-Tex region. The hospital provides comprehensive small animal care and offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine alongside an exceptional team of doctors and in-house specialists. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7 : 00am to 6 : 00pm and on Saturdays from 7 : 00am to 12 : 00pm. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, offering flexibility to suit individual schedules. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full range of services including wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, vaccinations, emergency and critical care, and end-of-life care. The role also offers opportunities to develop advanced skills in areas such as soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, advanced dental care, laparoscopy, dermatology, ophthalmology, and oncology. Candidates with an interest in general surgery and dentistry are especially encouraged, and the position is open to both experienced veterinarians and those seeking mentorship within a collaborative, supportive team environment. Practice Details The hospital is a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including minimally invasive procedures and access to a blood bank. Services range from routine wellness care to advanced care such as cancer staging and treatment, cardiac evaluations, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and alternative therapies.
