Baton Rouge, LA .
The Quality Supervisor will maintain a company-wide quality management system (QMS). They are responsible for leading and developing people, processes, and systems that ensure the highest safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Ensures that all products and services meet or exceed industry and company specifications. Ensures that the company’s strategy for quality products and customer satisfaction is responsive, effective, and reaches all areas of the organization, with special emphasis on the constant concern for product liability.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for
Quality Supervisor :
Maintain the company-wide quality system
Develops, reviews, and approves procedures, forms, and instructions within the QMS
Establishes programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production and Quality Control processes, measurements, and analyzes equipment and facilities used for process verification
Oversees the documentation of data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures
Communicates to appropriate personnel and management significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management
Establish working relationships with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to maintain quality throughout the ordering and manufacturing cycle and to minimize the potential for non-conforming parts
Maintains a working knowledge of ISO9001 quality codes and standards
Provides support of customer drawings, specifications, and regulations, assuring that process operators have a clear understanding of appropriate customer requirements
Communicates with customer(s) concerning Quality issues / matters, including but not limited to process performance, process failures, etc
Clean, organize, and maintain the work area as prescribed by the manager
Directly supervises employees
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws
Interviewing new employee candidates and making recommendations for hire
Assuring that appropriate training is scheduled and performed
Drive efforts to minimize / eliminate defects in products
Keep current with the industry and advise on upgrades or improvements that will benefit the company in terms of better quality, improved production and cost savings
