American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with MA licensure, neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Inpatient Level I trauma operating room with 10 ORs on the West Main campus, with occasional floating to East or CVI ORsCares for patients undergoing bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT (head & neck), orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastics, robotic surgery, kidney and liver transplants10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pmUp to 2 weekends per month required with either on-call (7 am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am on Sat / Sun / holidays) or working a shiftMandatory 30-minute response time while on callShort call shift required once per week (3 am-7 am or 5 pm-9 pm)Use of various OR equipment and technology for general, robotics, transplant, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, trauma, and organ procurement proceduresResponsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating for a wide variety of complex surgical casesWork primarily as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team in a Level I trauma environmentOrientation available weekly, beginning every Monday except holidaysAll time off (RTO) must be approved at the time of considerationCandidates must be able to meet a 30-minute call response window while on callParking availability is limited and may cost up to $43 per dayHoliday coverage required as assigned during contract periodPass / fail testing may be required at certain campus locations\n \n Requirements\n
Active MA RN license in hand requiredExperience in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant surgeries requiredSkills in both scrub and circulate roles for diverse surgical procedures including general, robotics, transplantation, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, trauma, and organ procurementBLS and other required certifications for perioperative practiceMust not have worked as perm, per diem, or travel nurse at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility within the past 6 monthsNo local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facilityVaccinations required : COVID vaccine + booster and flu (medical exemptions permitted)\n Benefits\n
