A direct hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in emergency department care, located in Amarillo, TX. This role demands expertise in clinical pharmacy within hospital inpatient and emergency room settings, offering an engaging environment where advanced technology supports high-quality patient care.
Schedule :
Responsibilities include providing prehensive pharmaceutical care to emergency department patients by collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams. This position requires rapid assessment and management of critically ill patients, including trauma and resuscitation cases. Duties also enpass medication reconciliation, preparation and dispensing of medications per hospital protocols, participation in emergency responses such as stroke and cardiac alerts, patient and professional education, monitoring for adverse drug reactions, and contributing to quality improvement and research. The role also involves preceptorship responsibilities for pharmacy students and oversight of medication history pharmacy technicians.
