SUMMARY
The Catalog Manager - Mexico Operations reports to the Pricing Manager and is responsible for managing and maintaining catalog data specific to Walker Products' Mexico market. This role ensures that accurate and complete application, product, and pricing data is available to support customers, distributors, and internal teams operating in Mexico and Latin America. The position works closely with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to align catalog content with Walker Products' standards and regional business needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares and distributes new product updates and application data changes to Mexico-based customers and electronic catalog suppliers on a regular schedule to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Maintains all application and product databases related to vehicles sold in Mexico and Latin America, ensuring ACES / PIES data compatibility.
- Works with Product Managers and the Mexico Sales team to resolve catalog discrepancies, application issues, and customer concerns.
- Translates and localizes catalog content, product descriptions, and fitment data to meet Spanish-language and regional requirements.
- Identifies missing or inaccurate vehicle data and coordinates corrections with engineering, product management, and data teams.
- Supplies accurate catalog data and product information for new business opportunities and regional marketing initiatives.
- Ensures vehicle tables and product reference data for Mexico are current with industry standards and compatible with systems such as AAIA and TecDoc.
- Participates in regional and industry cataloging initiatives to support continuous improvement and maintain compliance with global data standards.
- Provides internal reports and special data extracts for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams focused on the Mexico market.
- Documents catalog maintenance processes and maintains version control for bilingual (English / Spanish) datasets.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the Pricing Manager with Mexico-specific pricing files, analysis templates, and regional price lists.Supports the creation and maintenance of printed and electronic catalogs tailored for Mexico and Latin America.Collaborates with IT and Data teams to ensure accurate data migration and synchronization between U.S. and Mexico databases.Provides Excel and Access support for regional data management projects.Aids in "scrubbing" external catalog or distributor data before integration into internal systems.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Expert-level experience with North American cataloging standards such as ACES and PIES , and familiarity with TecDoc preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience managing catalog data for the automotive aftermarket .Proficiency in MS SQL Server , Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, formulas) , and Access .Strong understanding of cataloging systems and vehicle application databases, including regional fitment for Mexico and Latin America.Bilingual (English / Spanish) required-both written and verbal.Experience with XML and HTML preferred.Excellent analytical, communication, and data validation skills.
