This opportunity is in the Actuarial department

Our Actuarial Department is a dynamic group of professionals focusing on pricing, reserving, and data analysis for all written lines of business. The actuarial team creates, maintains and updates pricing models for underwriters to utilize; creates reserving estimates for all lines of business and assists with financial- and claims-related items, helping the organization to succeed using our insurance expertise. We aim to improve practices and efficiency across the organization, while using data to the fullest potential to gain insights that help our underwriting and management teams meet our goals.

Role Description :

As an Actuary, IFRS , you will play a vital role in guiding the company's implementation and ongoing compliance with IFRS 17 standards. You'll lead technical analysis and support efforts across financial reporting, reserving, and actuarial methodology for specified lines of business. In this role, you will develop and maintain documentation, oversee testing and quality assurance efforts, and provide support for audit and control functions. You'll also work cross-functionally to support the IFRS Reporting Team in achieving strategic goals and maintaining reporting timelines. Your deep understanding of insurance operations and actuarial principles will be instrumental in shaping methodologies and communicating updates to senior leadership. You may also supervise or review work by other actuaries and participate in strategic initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications : Education :

Bachelor's degree is required.

Required Qualifications :

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• Associate (ACAS) or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
• 5 or more years of experience in commercial lines pricing or reserving at a U.S. insurance / reinsurance company
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Effective communication abilities

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $169,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
