General Statement of Duties : This position is responsible for assisting in the preventive, regular, and urgent maintenance of all MRD indoor facilities. This position will assist with preserving the excellent condition and functionality of our business premises. This is accomplished through the upkeep and preparation of indoor facilities for recreation programs and activities. This includes the Community Recreation Center (CRC), Field House (FH), and several ancillary facilities (concessions, restrooms and storage).

Supervision Received : Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor-Facilities.

Supervision Exercised : Directly supervises Maintenance Assistants and community service volunteers.

Position Qualifications :

Experience :

License and Certification : Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant fields is preferred.

Work Environment : The majority of time is spent working in an indoor recreational facility setting with outdoor recreational facility exposure. Will be required to work in all weather conditions and in close proximity to chemicals used in an aquatic and facilities environment. Occasionally exposure to wet or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals with proper personal protective equipment.

Vehicle and Cellphone : MRD will furnish a work vehicle during work hours. MRD requires the employee to have a cell phone and will reimburse the employee a portion of the monthly service cost.

Work Hours : This position is required to perform on-call during services during weekends on a rotational basis. Work hours have seasonal variations with evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
