Aerodyn Engineering is hiring an experienced CMM Programmer / Operator to join our advanced manufacturing team in Indianapolis, IN . In this hands-on role, you’ll program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso , inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace and automotive components. Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Calypso software
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components with tolerances down to 0.0001"
- Verify machine and probe calibration for measurement accuracy
- Identify defects, generate non-conformance reports , and document results per AS9100 / ISO9001
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to uphold the highest inspection standards
- Create and maintain inspection documentation and clear reporting using Microsoft Office tools
- Recommend process improvements based on inspection trends
✅ Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a CMM programmer / operator , preferably in aerospace or automotiveExpertise with Zeiss CMM equipment and Calypso programmingStrong understanding of GD&T , blueprint reading, and tight-tolerance measurement techniquesSkilled in use of micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection toolsFamiliar with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management systemsComfortable working independently and collaborating in a fast-paced, R&D-focused shop environmentWhy Join Aerodyn?
