Program Manager III Water Division (Municipal Utilities Department)

The City of Stockton is seeking an innovative and motivated Program Manager III to join our Municipal Utilities Department's Water Division!

This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Stockton's water resources by leading key initiatives in water resource planning, water conservation, water operations, grants, budgets, and water distribution system management.

As a Program Manager III, you'll play a vital role supporting the Deputy MUD Director / Water and collaborating across departmentsincluding engineering, finance, and maintenanceto ensure efficient and sustainable water utility operations. You'll also help shape the future of Stockton's water supply and water infrastructure through strategic planning, project coordination, and workforce development.

In this highly autonomous role, you'll take ownership of purchasing, budget, and contract management, and may include supervising support team.

We're looking for a forward-thinking professional who thrives on problem-solving, organization, and innovation. The ideal candidate brings strong financial, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to understand technical information and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Experience in government budgeting, auditing, grant management, FEMA reporting, and / or water resources planning, operations, or distribution is preferredbut if you bring solid business management expertise and a desire to grow in this field, we want to hear from you!
