The role includes treating a diverse range of medical emergencies, with the capacity to stabilize and manage trauma cases before transferring to specialized facilities as needed.

• Level 3 trauma center
• Need to be board certified in EM
• 27 regular rooms, 3 BH rooms, 2 Trauma Rooms, 12 fast track rooms
• Staffing model in a 24-hour cycle is 7 docs and 4 APCs.
• Around 40,000 annual visits (average a total of 164 patients in 24-hour period)
• Have pretty much all specialty support so able to keep most things other than transplant, burns and spines for adults.
• Pediatrics : we do have pediatric hospitalist that will admit Peds cases and ENT, Orthopedics and general surgery will do appendectomies, but if need PICU or specialty support then transferred to Norton's in Louisville.
