Title : Cath Lab Technologist
Location : Bel Air, MD
Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 30 AM – 07 : 00 PM) + On-call (8 weeknights & 4 weekend 24-hour shifts in a 6-week schedule)
Job Responsibilities :
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations, PTCA, PCI, and cardiac stent placements.Set up and operate hemodynamic monitoring and imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety during procedures.Prepare and maintain a sterile field; scrub and circulate as needed for all Cath Lab procedures.Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening arrhythmias or hemodynamic changes during cases.Ensure proper equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting before and after each procedure.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to ensure optimal patient care.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and patient data.Participate in on-call rotation for emergency cardiac procedures.Follow hospital infection control and isolation precaution protocols.Provide compassionate and professional care to adult and geriatric patient populations.Required Qualifications :
Active ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification.Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications.Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac catheterization lab.Proficiency in recognizing dysrhythmias and responding to cardiac emergencies.Must hold an active Maryland or Compact State License.Comfortable with floating within the hospital as needed.Experience with procedures such as rotablator atherectomy, cardiac implant closure, and IABP placement / removal.Familiarity with teaching or community hospital environments.About HonorVet Technologies
