Accounting / Tax Manager - Small Business Focus

Opportunity :

We are seeking an Accounting / Tax Manager to join our team with the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance throughout the year, including tax season. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with small businesses who wants to make a meaningful impact on their success. The position involves providing a comprehensive suite of services, including monthly accounting, tax planning and preparation, payroll, and business advisory support.

Responsibilities :

Review monthly financial reports for assigned clients and meet with them periodically.

Supervise and provide guidance to bookkeepers in their monthly production.

Prepare tax returns and estimates.

Offer tax planning strategies and advice.

Conduct initial strategy sessions for new clients and manage implementation of agreed-upon processes.

Qualifications :

Strong understanding of financial statements and experience with QuickBooks Online .

Demonstrated supervisory ability.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (accounting emphasis preferred, but not required).

Comfortable working directly with small business owners.

Enjoys working with numbers and is technologically proficient.

Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation is a plus , but training will be provided for the right candidate.
