Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinists for a project located in San Diego, CA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $38 / hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope :

  • Maintain & repair ships propulsion & auxiliary systems including steam turbine electrical, diesel propulsion, rudders steering gear elevators & Navy prep systems
  • Install, repair & maintain ships fluid systems including pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators & valves
  • Install & test various test equipment
  • Assemble / install complex mechanical systems

Requirements :

  • Must pass background & drug screen
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 3+ years in related field, graduate from Diesel or Aircraft Mechanic training or 3 year Navy; MM, BT, AD, CM, EN, GS, HT or MR
  • Must be able to read & interpret mechanical drawings, written instructions, technical manuals, hydraulic / pneumatic diagrams etc
  • Must be have color vision and be able to walk, stand & frequently lift up to 50lbs
