Allied Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

  • Responsible for the quality and efficient completion of radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation
  • Provide patient education, quality patient care, and meet all regulatory compliance requirements
  • Manage daily operation of the women's health section of radiology
  • Suggest changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate training and development in breast imaging specialties
  • Adhere to all FDA guidelines for the mammography section
  • Maintain appropriate records for all accreditation processes and inspections
  • Maintain structured reporting system to ensure accurate audit reporting and statistical tracking
  • Complete daily QA and preventative maintenance scheduling
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of mammography imaging procedures
  • Perform all exams based on imaging department protocols
  • Practice radiation safety adhering to ALARA standards
  • Operate equipment consistent with manufacturer's recommendations
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate service engineer calls when needed
  • Verify exam orders and identify patients through two means of identification
  • Review and document patient medical history and obtain required informed consent
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EHR including charging for procedures and supplies
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other modalities and adjusting schedules as needed
  • Take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as required
  • Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when needed
  • Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required
  • ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M) required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 90 days
  • Two years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist required
  • Cross-training in other modalities including CT, MRI, and DEXA preferred
  • Experience with electronic records including PACS and RIS / HIS preferred
  • Must adhere to organizational attire and dress code policies
  • Must maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
