We’re looking for engineers who will re-imagine the way wireless performance of a device is analyzed and work cross-functionally with teams to deliver the outstanding wireless performance for our customers. Our engineers help architect, research, and design, Apple’s world-class wireless products. Description

The job role will entail wireless performance research focused primarily on understanding how various factors like antenna performance, modem performance, SAR, RF algorithms, user interaction with device, channel conditions, co-ex and interference will affect wireless performance and in turn the end user experience. You will use these findings to work with cross-functional teams to help drive antenna, wireless algorithms and system level design and architecture changes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.

3+ years industry experience in wireless RF and system level performance testing.

Strong understanding of cellular, WiFi or GNSS technologies.

Test automation experience. Python preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering with 3+ years industry experience in wireless systems.

Experience working on physical layer wireless algorithms.

Strong background in wireless communications.

Experience with cellular field performance testing and network drops.

Bringing together and analyzing baseband logs to root cause performance issues.

Cellular base station side experience is a bonus
