Position Summary :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Bethesda, you will provide essential nursing care by assisting with resident assessments and ongoing evaluations. Your role includes timely documentation, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and active participation in care planning. Key responsibilities include :
Providing basic nursing care and support during resident admissions and ongoing care.Accurately documenting assessments and interventions.Communicating changes in resident conditions to the appropriate team members.Implementing nursing interventions to meet individual care plans, including medication administration and treatments.Ensuring safe and timely delivery of nursing tasks.Utilizing critical thinking skills in response to residents' condition changes.Maintaining professionalism during crisis situations.Monitoring resident care and participating in addressing care plan issues.Assisting residents with ADLs and responding to call lights as needed.Completing a minimum of twelve hours of nursing-related continuing education annually.Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited nursing program resulting in Licensed Practical Nurse qualification.Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months.IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months.Preferred long-term care experience.Strong assessment skills for geriatric care.Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.Time management and organizational skills to effectively handle responsibilities.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks safely.Manual dexterity and coordination when assisting patients and using equipment.Visual acuity to distinguish color.Ability to complete necessary documentation both electronically and in writing.Compensation : Pay range : $26.96 - $43.25 per hour
