Unit Size / Beds : 42 beds – 21 medical & 21 Intermediate care

Expected Ratios : Intermediate care – 1 : 3, Medical - 1 : 6

Cases seen : PNA, COPD exacerbation, DKA, HHS, ETOH withdrawal, GIB, Sepsis, PE, UTI, Respiratory failure

Years of Exp preferred : 1-2 years

Certifications required : ACLS, BLS AHA only

Floating to other units can happen at times, RN’s work on both sides of the floor (med-tele & IMC), must have experience with trachs, vents, high-flow NC, Cardiac drips, BiPaP, & telemetry
