Overview

The Cook prepares, cooks and serves food on a large production scale for patients, staff, visitors, Head Start , catered events and other needs as directed.

Qualifications

Certifications :

Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) - Varies; OR

ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days - Varies; OR

Food Service Sanitation Manager (FSSM) within 90 days - Varies

Education :

Work Experience : 1yr of Cooking experience

Responsibilities

Cooks and otherwise prepares foods such as meats, fish, vegetables, soups, stews, sauces, salads, desserts, sandwiches, modified diet items, etc. in accordance with standardized recipes and product books.Maintains utensils, equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition.Transports prepared food from production area to various service areas.Follows detailed daily sanitation and position cleaning assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $15.13per hour - $24.51per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
