Skills : MS / Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, PCA, CVA, Seizure disorders, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, External CPAP / BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac

Certs : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

JOB DETAILS :

Ratios : 1 : 5 Days, 1 : 6 Nights

Shift : 1845-0715 nights, 36 or 48s

RTO : 7 days MAX

Weekend Requirement : Every other

Float : may be floated to the corresponding sister units. West 2, West 3, and Observation unit are all sister units.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : Cardiac, Respiratory, COVID, infectious disease, pre and post operative, endocrine; CVA

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Certified Stroke Center

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Pyxis, EPIC required, SBAR

UNIT ORIENTATION : 12 hours
