Correctional Security Guard - Bullock

This is a non-contact security position for the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) at Bullock Correctional Facility located in Union Springs, Alabama.

Salary Information

$33,0664.80 - $55,375.20 Annually

$17.55 - $19.36 hourly

• Starting salary upon initial appointment to the merit system may be based on various factors (e.g., education, experience)

Expected hours : 40 - 45 per week

General Overview

Come join the State of Alabama's largest law enforcement agency as an entry-level Correctional Security Guard! This position is unarmed with no physical contact with inmates located within assigned prison facilities. You will learn to monitor inmate behavior, manage access points, and conduct scheduled and unscheduled searches of visitors entering correctional facilities. Work is performed under close supervision from a higher-level Correctional Security Guard, Senior or APOSTC Certified Correctional Officer.
