Construction Litigation Legal Assistant – Orlando, FL
A highly respected law firm in Orlando is seeking a Construction Litigation Legal Assistant to support its litigation team.
This is a direct-hire position and hybrid after 90 days.
About the Role :
The Construction Litigation Legal Assistant provides essential support to attorneys handling complex construction litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide advanced administrative and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals
Process new matters and conflict requests and perform conflict maintenance on existing matters, as required
Review and route incoming and outgoing correspondence
Ensure attorney time entries are accurate and submitted by deadlines; assist with monthly billing
Compile client accounting information and generate accounting reports through accounting software; ensure timely payment of vendor invoice
Coordinate payment of vendor invoices and maintain related documentation
Maintain Florida Bar requirements (CLEs, Board Cert. Applications and Renewals, and Court Admissions)
Schedule and coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with all parties involved
Qualifications :
Knowledge of legal terminology and litigation processes
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
Experience with complex calendaring in Outlook
Strong understanding of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Construction litigation experience is highly preferred.
