Software Developer (Journeyman)

We are seeking a Software Developer (Journeyman) to provide expertise in technical design, development, implementation, and optimization of software solutions for large-scale DoD systems . This role involves programming, testing, debugging, analysis, and system enhancement , ensuring high-performing software solutions that align with national security objectives .

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop detailed technical designs and software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms .
• Design, code, test, debug, and implement software applications to support DoD systems.
• Conduct organizational needs assessments , aligning software development initiatives with operational goals.
• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems , ensuring optimized encoding, testing, and installation for large-scale deployments .
• Maintain software performance efficiency , identifying and resolving system issues.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate secure software development methodologies into DoD infrastructure.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for software development, system revisions, and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies , security standards, and risk management frameworks.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience.

4 years ’ experience with a master’s degree or higher OR

Strong proficiency in software development, programming languages, debugging, and testing methodologies .
