The Public Safety Rapid Response Officer will ensure the safety and security of Lansing School District students and staff by responding to emergency and non-emergency situations, conducting investigations, and maintaining professional conduct. This role requires flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in stressful situations.

Qualifications - Education & Certification

• Minimum high school diploma; some college coursework in criminal justice or related fields preferred.
• Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Science, or Law Enforcement is preferred.
• MCOLES certification as a police officer or under PA 330 is preferred, or the ability to pass MCOLES certification.

This is a 52 week position. External candidates will most likely start at the bottom of the salary skill unless previous experience can be deemed as equivalent.
