Job Description

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program studying at our  Irwindale, CA campus.

You will be mentoring students in person at an inpatient clinical setting. You'll be making connections between what our students are learning in the classroom and during simulations, with the real-world applications in patient care they are experiencing on-site. By bridging this gap, we can ensure that our students are not only well-prepared for their roles as healthcare professionals but also confident in their abilities to provide high-quality care to their patients.

Candidates with a completed MSN are encouraged to apply - Teaching experience is not required!

Clinicals are scheduled in a healthcare facility in the areas of the Inland Empire, Los Angeles County and Orange County (depending on specialty) :

• North and South Los Angeles County :   Los Angeles, Panorama City, Paramount, Sylmar, Van Nuys.
• Orange County :   Brea, Duarte, Fullerton, Inglewood, San Gabriel
• Santa Clarita Valley :   Canyon Country, Newhall, Saugus, Valencia
• San Fernando Valley :   Burbank, Calabasas, Glendale, Hidden Hills, San Fernando
• Montclair
• Thousand Oaks
• Riverside

Required commitment is one 12 / hour NIGHT SHIFT   (6 / 7a-6 / 7p) per week for each 8-week session at one of our clinical partner sites. Clinical schedules vary every session, including nights shifts on weekdays or weekends.

Responsibilities :

Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.

Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs.

Orient and maintain current knowledge related to clinical site policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the clinical site personnel.

Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College.

Serve as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students.

Comply with all applicable regulatory rules and standards.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, t he expected compensation rate for this position is $65 per hour for the first 8-hours per day and $97.50 per hour overtime for any hours worked over 8 per day.
