Position Overview

The VA Tampa Healthcare System is seeking a BC / BE Gastroenterologist to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals providing compassionate, high-quality care to our nation s veterans. This is a clinical and procedural GI position with opportunities to participate in teaching and quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative gastroenterology care.

Perform a wide range of GI procedures including :

Colonoscopy

EGD

PEG placement

Esophageal manometry (optional)

Capsule endoscopy

Manage liver disease in collaboration with hepatology.

Participate in multidisciplinary care teams and conferences.

Opportunities to teach residents and fellows from affiliated academic programs.

Candidate Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship (required)

MD or DO from accredited medical school

Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology

Active and unrestricted medical license (in any U.S. state)

Fellowship training in Gastroenterology (required)

ERCP / EUS experience preferred but not required
