Strategic Consultant or Project Leader (Schaumburg)

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Strategic Consultant or Project Leader for our Strategy team in Chicago / Schaumburg. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving our strategy execution priorities, you will lead innovation initiatives and you will shape business development opportunities. You will collaborate with our Business leaders on a wide variety of projects.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and team management / interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated and able to build strong working relationships with both Internal and External Stakeholders.

Key accountabilities include :

• Supporting the development of corporate vision, strategies, and innovation for Zurich North American and designated business unit(s)
• Facilitating and supporting strategic and / or operational projects and solving high-profile, complex problems that are important to our financial, operational, and market success
• Developing market intelligence and conducting competitive landscape analyses
• Evaluating business opportunities and preparing business cases from strategic, operational, and financial perspectives
• Understanding key business challenges and developing fact-based analyses, including data models, to support succinct recommendations
• Working with cross-functional teams to synthesize insights and take solutions from idea inception to testing proof of concept.
• Challenging traditional ways of thinking, inviting leaders and teams to look at problems from a variety of perspectives and develop innovative, and forward-thinking solutions
• Facilitating the preparation of materials for key external presentations and internal business discussions
• Assisting in the co-ordination of overall strategy and innovation priorities across Zurich North America
• Training and developing more junior team members.

The role will be filled at the Strategic Consultant or Project Leader level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicants experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $94,100.00 - $203,700.00. The proposed salary range for the Strategic Consultant is $94,100.00 - $154,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%. The proposed salary range for the Project Leader is $124,500.00 - $203,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
