Project Engineer
The Project Engineer supports engineering and project management efforts by managing and tracking project schedules, cost and performance metrics, and ensuring alignment with overall project plans for industrial equipment / installation programs. This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress, forecast milestones, and drive timely execution in high-stakes technical environments.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring accurate timelines and resource allocation.
Collect progress and performance updates from engineering, installation and operations teams; update schedules and plans to reflect actual progress and changes.
Track and monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts associated with schedule changes or delays.
Prepare project status reports, dashboards and performance metrics (KPIs) for program / project leadership.
Identify and assess project risks (schedule, resource, cost) and support development of mitigation strategies including trends and change-management.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and operations personnel to support schedule integration with technical execution and field activities.
Support documentation control and recordkeeping in line with project and quality assurance requirements.
Contribute to planning and execution coordination to support smooth delivery of industrial equipment installation projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Typically, 5+ years of experience in engineering, project management, schedule management, cost control or related industrial project roles.
Experience using project planning and scheduling tools and software; strong Windows / Excel skills and familiarity with project management applications.
Experience working in industrial or equipment installation environments is strongly preferred.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; ability to interface with cross-functional teams including field operations, engineering and procurement.
Strong communication skills and ability to prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for stakeholders.
